Ontario College of Teachers

The Ontario College of Teachers licenses and regulates the teaching profession in Ontario.

Swerve has created many pieces for the College including the Handbooks For New Teachers, Annual Reports, Corporate brochures and even a 10 year anniversary logo.

2007’s Handbook featured wonderful illustrations by grade school and high school kids. Select schools were invited to submit artwork based on the theme of Teachers’ commitment to students.

With an established corporate look already firmly in place care was taken to ensure new publications adhered to the standards, but still stood out and had a unique look and theme.

Swerve was involved in all aspects of the design and production of the various publications from concept and design, and production of both the English and French documents. Over the years many photo shoots were scheduled all over Ontario, including ones in Toronto plus Aurora, Barrie, Hamilton, London, Nipean, Scarborough, Simcoe, St. Chatherines, Timmins and Thunder Bay.

Each publication went through extensive proofing and changes to the text, in both French and English. Keeping track of changes and ensuring everyone had the most current draft was carefully monitored.

In addition to the design and production Swerve was on site at the printers ensuring the final output was of the highest standards.
